Platforms for Ubiquitous Research and Development

We built a standard development platform system as an infrastructure for ubiquitous networking research. Firstly, we built a PDA-type standard development platform in compliance with our U-Card specifications. This system is capable of operating approximately for one hour with battery, and incorporates devices necessary for a ubiquitous environment, such as a QVGA liquid crystal display with touch-panels, a CCD camera, a tiny chip reading device, voice input and output, a fingerprint sensor, an encryption authentication chip holder, and others. Also, a node system for standing or embedding was built (shown in the right illustration). This complies with our _U-Card specifications. These development platforms operate with T-Kernels real-time kernels for embedded systems - implanted in them.
