Ubiquitous Information Space

We suggested Ubiquitous Information Space as an environment in which information services can be received everywhere in the real world space. Our effort into research and development has been put into realization of such a space. This is especially useful in situations in the real world where information is provided in high density, such as museums, exhibitions, and various types of stores, etc. Among these, we chose "Museum" as the subject, and built Ubiquitous Museum.
As shown in the illustration, Ubiquitous Museum is composed of the entrance gate, KIOSK terminals and large information display screens, and exhibited information can be stored in card-type tiny chips carried by visitors. The visitors can view the stored information anytime anywhere by holding the card over the KIOSK terminal.
